Wagons and books

What?
Love this face, she was grumpy at me.
So much work, I am so tired.
Her and her dog
Reading
Well, maybe she can still get a little distracted sometimes.

So a couple of new things. We bought Avery a wagon for the beach this summer and turns out she LOVES it. My sister-in-law used one last year and it was so much easier than carrying all of the stuff plus worrying if the kids were going to run off. So anyways, we got the wagon and now all she wants to do it play in it. I took her on three walks today, yes three. The funny thing is, she insists on having the seatbelt fastened. She also likes to take her stuffed animals with her and they also have to be strapped in. Another new thing that has been wonderful this past few weeks has been her sitting to read books. She has always done it to an extent, but now she listens to the whole story and then asks to read the books again and again. Her favorites right now are If you give a Pig a Pancake, A Mouse a Cookie, and A Cat a cupcake series. She also loves Curious George and anything with animals in it. We went to the library today to check out some new ones, she was so excited when we got home and we could read them. We had a bbq with about 20 of my neighbors the other day and the pics are from her reading a book with her friends. Anyways, enjoy.

Easter 2010

Sorry, this one is out of order, her decorating the eggs
Her basket
A smile picture, so hard to get

Ella, proud of her decorating
Abbey showing off her egg
The final product, including the cracks from her throwing it on the floor
Hmmm.. what is this?
Discovering the eggs in her basket
Her classic "smile" face
The yummy crepes that we made...oh so delicious
Her Easter outfit (She had a different dress, but since it was so cold, we had to improvise)
Just had to show her cute tights and shoes :)
Hunting for Easter eggs
Loving the candy in the eggs, she sat there for a long time hoping more would appear in the egg
Who are you looking at
My child's absolute favorite thing...cupcakes, well at least the frosting
See I told you
Maeve and Roan in the cars...too cute

Sorry for the extra long post, there were just too many good ones to leave them out. So on Thursday my neighbor and I let the kids dye Easter eggs, which was interesting. Her kids did so well and dipped and decorated the eggs. Avery on the other hand thought throwing the hard boiled eggs as well as feeding them to the dog, would be much more fun. There is always next year, right? Today we woke up and we made a wonderful breakfast of crepes (oh sooooo good) and eggs. Then we went to church. In the afternoon we went to Wes' grandparents house for our annual Easter celebration. Avery had so much fun. Her favorite parts were eating the candy and cupcakes. Overall we had a great day. It was a memorable one too because one, it was much colder than usual and two we had an earthquake. Luckily it was much far south so there was no damage, but we certainly felt it.

Merry-Go Round and Las Vegas

She was so nervous and crying and kicking to get off
Getting more used to it
Now enjoying it.
She kept looking at Luke on the tiger
Great mother, son shot
Luke, Bogie and Avery on the swing
Avery loved to take Bogie's toys, Bogie loved it too.
Hooray!
The best family pic we could get.
Before our big day out.

This past weekend we drove the Las Vegas for a birthday party for one of our friends. We stayed with my aunt and uncle and went to the strip on Saturday while Avery stayed with my aunt. On Friday we went shopping and took Avery to the merry-go round. She hated it at first but then screamed when we tried to take her off. It was pretty funny. Wes and I enjoyed a nice day/night together for the first time in a long time, the pics of us are before we left on our little adventure. We did a little gambling, but mostly just hung out and ate (a ton). Avery loves my cousin Luke and their dog Bogie, so we thought we would snap some pics of them together.
